This is a website in memory of Kathleen.
It is intended as a place for her closest friends and family to come to remember Kathleen, the times we shared, and the love and energy that she brought to our lives.
Although we are saddened by her loss, visiting here is not meant to be a sorrowful experience. It should be one of joy, laughter and love – some of Kathleen's most enduring qualities.
This is a place to remember all that Kathleen was in life, and that she remains in spirit: A daughter, sister and aunt; playmate and nurturer of children; mentor, confidante and ally of friends; tireless champion of human rights, free speech and professional journalism in shattered countries; searcher for the most elegant shells, rocks and trees on the planet; passionate lover of oceans and stars and the moon and the sun; and a believer in the power of love to change the world.
There is no need for you to post a comment on the website or do anything else, unless you want to; whenever you feel like it, just come here to be with Kathleen and with her wider family: all those who love her.
Look at the photos, read the words, and journey through your memories as positively and joyfully as you can. Kathleen would tell us not to be sad.

“I’ve pretty much always lived my
life as fully as possible, following my own and often strange paths.
I’ve sought peace by confronting violence, good by battling evil.
I’m a skeptic if only because I expect the world should be a good
place for humanity.”
